Case-discussion and Group Facilitation

The World Café Process

Author: The World Café Community (2002)

The World Café (TWC) is a facilitation process and methodology evolved for hosting conversations about questions that matter. Used in group decision and problem solving meetings, including casework discussions, it requires a format in which people move between groups, cross-pollinate ideas and discover new insights into questions or issues at hand. It is a medium by which the collective wisdom of a group can be harnessed and articulated.

The reference guide shares on how best to:

  • create a café ambiance
  • encourage everyone’s contribution and connect diverse perspectives
  • Listen for insights and share discoveries
